Our policies
Here you'll find the official policies that guide Tau Sigma Phi's operations, expectations, and values across all chapters. These documents are in place to ensure consistency, accountability, and a safe, supportive environment for all members. Whether you're an active sister, alumna, or new to the organization, we encourage you to review these policies to better understand how we uphold the integrity of our sorority.
01
Sexual Violence
Tau Sigma Phi is committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all members. Our Sexual Violence Policy outlines our expectations, reporting process, and zero-tolerance stance on any form of sexual violence, harassment, or misconduct. We believe in prioritizing survivor safety, dignity, and confidentiality while maintaining clear accountability across our organization.
02
safe & inclusive spaces
Tau Sigma Phi is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. We believe every member deserves to feel welcomed and valued, and we do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind.
We also uphold a zero-tolerance policy for hazing. Sisterhood is built through support and shared values—not coercion or harm. All members are expected to contribute to a culture rooted in kindness, accountability, and care.
03
DEI Initiative
Tau Sigma Phi is committed to creating a sisterhood where all members feel valued, supported, and seen. Our DEI Initiative guides chapters and the National Board in promoting inclusive recruitment, educational programming, and community engagement. This living initiative is grounded in action, reflection, and accountability—ensuring our values are not only shared, but practiced.
04
Land Acknowledgment
As a Canadian organization, we recognize that all land across this country is Indigenous land. Our land acknowledgement honors the traditional territories on which our chapters reside and reaffirms our commitment to learning about Indigenous histories, cultures, and rights. As a sisterhood rooted in empowerment and equity, we strive to reflect on our relationship with the land and use our platform to support truth and reconciliation.
